Telephone Helplines

Telephone counselling and support are offered via our telephone helplines, which are open on:

Wednesday & Friday Evenings between 7pm & 10pm

A 24 hour answer phone is in operation at all other times

Coming October 2008: Helplines will be open on Mondays between 1pm and 3pm for a one year pilot scheme.

• Callers who live within the Portsmouth Area may be called back on request.
• PARCS number is anonymous and therefore will not register with '1471'
• PARCS number will show up on your telephone bill. It is also possible for someone in your household to press the phone's redial button and obtain the number you last dialled.
• PARCS lines are open to anyone aged 18 or above, who has been affected by sexual violation, whether through personal experience or the experience of a loved one
• Both helplines are minicom accessible - please use your voice announcer
• Referrals for face to face counselling may be taken via the help lines. PARCS accepts referrals for women and men resident in the Portsmouth Area (PO1 - PO6)
